did you have any alcohol in the 48 hours prior to the blood test. That could be the cause.

There’s no way to tell. The best word of advise is to try not to worry. Just do things to keep your mind off waiting, because the dr will order tests and those tests will take some time to come back, so your answer won’t be tomorrow. Your two girls are off for the summer, go to the park or to McDonalds to play on the playground with them. Do anything to keep from worrying, because worrying will make you physically feel worse.

It’s hard to answer this question without your medical background, but as a hep c educator and one who knows that elevated liver enzymes may be a sign of hepatitis C, you should talk to your doctor about getting tested for hep A, B, and C. I don’t know if you’ve had any of the risk factors, but if you have, even only one time, then you should get tested. Risk factors are blood transfusions before ‘92, tattoos, piercings, IV drug use (even if only once), snorting drugs, sharing razors or toothbrushes, military & medical exposure to blood, dialysis, pnuematic vaccinations (military), & risky *** (MSM, anal, or ***** where blood is involved). Best wishes.
