There is only one type of cholesterol and that is called… cholesterol. The ridiculous terms good cholesterol and bad cholesterol actually refer to lipoproteins. Low density lipoproteins (LDL) are what transports cholesterol from the liver to cells within the body. For some reason this is called bad. High density lipoproteins (HDL) are what transports used cholesterol back from the cells to the liver. Somehow these get the term good. There is absolutely no difference between the cholesterol in different types of food. You only get approximately 30% of your cholesterol from food, the liver will produce the rest of this vital substance
